How to become a member?

Membership in the Swiss Society for Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery (SGHC) and the process for obtaining membership are regulated by the Society’s statutes.

1. Applications for admission as a regular, corresponding, or junior member must be submitted in writing to the President. The application must include:
   1. a curriculum vitae;
   2. a list of publications;
   3. a letter of recommendation from two regular members (sponsors).
2. Admission is decided by the General Assembly. A two-thirds (2/3) majority of the voting members present is required.
3. Provisional admission by the Executive Board, subject to confirmation by the General Assembly, is possible during the current year. Membership fees are payable only after final admission by the General Assembly.
